With the summer weather up on us there will be plenty of fresh produce at roadside stands or maybe from your own garden. Here is a classic recipe for beautiful ripe tomatoes.
Ingredients:
- 6 or 7 ripe tomatoes (about 1 1/2 lbs)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 teaspoons)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
- 6-8 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced* or chopped.
- 1/2 teaspoon Chalice Spice Sundried Tomato Sea Salt, more or less to taste.
- 1/4 teaspoon Chalice Spice fine ground black pepper, more or less to taste.
- 1 French Baguette
Preparation:
- Cut tomatoes into cubes. Place in bowl and add all other ingredients.
- Cut baguette diagonally, brush on olive oil and broil in oven. Be sure to turn over slice midway. You can also grill bread slices on BBQ.
- Spoon tomato mixture on bread.
- Serve.
Chef's Tip:
Bruschetta is the Italian term for grilled bread. The topping can vary so be creative. The tomato blend in this recipe is also ideal to add on top of grilled chicken or steak.

My keys were stored on a Coldcard device that was kept in a safety deposit box and had never been connected to the internet. I logged into the Wasabi Wallet software to view my Bitcoin wallets.
Right away, I saw a series of red withdrawal transactions, and I knew.
Between 9:36 p.m. and 9:43 p.m. on July 29, every wallet I had had been emptied.

Perhaps the hardest part was that I did everything right.
