Creamy Cauliflower Soup made with spices from Chalice Spice.

Do you know that cauliflower contains fiber to enhance weight loss and digestion, choline that is essential for learning and memory, and many other important nutrients? With the addition of onions and cabbage which are also packed with nutrients, this recipe is a must.


  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 cauliflower chopped
  • 8 cooking onions
  • 2 peeled sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup sliced cabbage
  • ½ a garlic bulb
  • 1 tsp chalice spice organic garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chalice spice organic Mediterranean seasoning
  • 1 tsp chalice spice organic Himalayan salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp chalice spice organic ground cumin
  • 2 tsp chalice spice organic creamy vegetable broth soup mix
  • 2 litres of water
  • Optional:  ¼ cup Parmesan (it adds creaminess and a mild cheese flavour)


  1. Place peeled cooking onions, cauliflower, cabbage, sweet potatoes and garlic bulb on baking sheet
  2. Roast veggies for 30 minutes at 400
  3. Add all ingredients including roasted vegetables to a large pot
  4. Once it comes to a boil let it simmer for 1 hour until the cauliflower is tender enough to purée
  5. Remove 2 cups of solid vegetables from the pot and set aside
  6. Purée remaining ingredients in the pot
  7. Return the two cups of solid vegetables to the pot.
  8. Add Parmesan cheese to the pot, mix well and serve

Chef's Tip:

This soup freezes really well.  Make extra to freeze so you have some ready whenever you may need it.  You may have to add some water when thawed to thin out the soup.
